YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown police have arrested a suspect Thursday in connection with a Wednesday night shooting on the city’s south side.

An officer told WKBN that their suspect is Joseph Williams, 60. Police issued a warrant for his arrest Thursday on a charge of felonious assault.

Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Linwood Avenue, which is off Glenwood Avenue, around 7:30 p.m. They said one man was shot and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he underwent surgery. The victim remains in critical condition.

Police have not identified the victim and said the incident started as a domestic dispute.
