1 dead, 2 hurt after car slams Pittsburgh utility pole

PITTSBURGH (AP) – One passenger is dead and two people are hospitalized in critical condition after a car crashed into a utility pole in Pittsburgh.

A city spokeswoman says the car crashed around 9 p.m. Thursday at Becks Run Road and Wagner Avenue in the city’s Carrick section.

Officials say emergency responders had to pull the victims from the wreckage. They did not release their names.
