High water closes part of Route 165

GREEN TOWNSHP (WKBN) – High water has closed a portion of state Route 165 this afternoon.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, water over the road has Route 165 closed just east of U.S. Route 62 in Green.

Detours will be posted.

The recent rains, mixed with the melting snow and cold ground, have caused some flooding around the Mahoning Valley.

Friday night, Eagle Creek in Trumbull County broke its banks, covering portions of Barclay-Messerly Road.

And in Mill Creek Park in Boardman, the water is nearly up to U.S. Route 224.
