Trumbull Co. Task Force, health board partner for recovery

The Trumbull County Opiate Task Force and the county mental health and recovery board held a free event Saturday about substance abuse treatments.

CHAMPION, Ohio (WKBN) —   The Trumbull County Opiate Task Force wants to get the message out about recovery.

It partnered up with the county mental health and recovery board for a free event about substance abuse treatments Saturday.

Recovering addicts told their stories.

There was also information for people who have a loved one using drugs and anyone dealing with addiction.

“Recovery is not an easy thing it’s an ongoing process. There’s always something to learn. Anything we can do to help to help someone in recovery is what we’re here for,” said Lauren Thorp, Recovery and Youth Programs Director, TC Mental Health and Recovery Board.
