Heartland Christian School holds fundraiser auction

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) — Heartland Christian School held its annual auction Saturday.

Now in its 18th year, the event is a major fundraiser for the school that has students from Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.

Organizers said the turnout this year is the biggest they’ve seen. Judging by the number of businesses that donated, making sure the school has what it needs to stay open is a priority for the community.

“We had more than 250 businesses donate to us. Which is great, that they’re supporting our school and Christian education,” said Ronnie Morgan of the Heartland Christian School in Columbiana.

Among the big-ticket items being auctioned off are a vacation to North Carolina and tickets to see Country music star Brad Paisley perform in Cleveland.
