YPD: Saturday shooting victim is 15

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Police have released more details Monday about a shooting that happened Saturday night on the city’s south side.

YPD officials also aren’t releasing the victim’s name, but say the young man shot in the leg was 15 years old. Police have also not released any new information on the condition of the young man, who was injured in the shooting.

The incident happened around 6:30 Saturday evening, as the teen was walking down South Avenue near Hilton Ave.

Police are calling it a drive-by shooting, but so far, have not released a description of the suspect or the car.
