BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — The ninth annual Cattle Baron’s Ball was held Saturday in Boardman.

The event started in Texas and has made its way across the country.

It raises money for the American Cancer Society serving people in the tri-county area.

The Hope Center for Cancer Care was recognized at the ball for the services it provides for cancer patients in the valley.

“I think that the reward is what we see when we take care of patients and we help them in their time if need. I think the cancer society is a wonderful organization and to have a fundraiser to help them advance their cause is worthy enough,” said Dr. Eugene Tareshawty, Hope Center for Cancer Care.

The Hope Center for Cancer Care specializes in treating a number of cancers, including breast, prostate and colon.

It has facilities in Youngstown and Warren.
