Reserve holds off South Range rally

BERLIN CENTER, Ohio (WKBN) – Western Reserve held off South Range’s sixth inning rally to preserve a 8-6 victory this evening. The Devils led 8-1 after the third inning before the Raiders plated 5 in the sixth.

Reserve’s cleanup hitter John Clegg belted 3 hits in 4 at-bats, including a double. Wyatt Larimer (1-0) pitched 5 innings, allowing just 1 hit and struck out 5. Ian Hames closed the door on South Range’s rally by pitching the final 1 2/3 innings of the contest.

Ryan Miller had 2 of the Raiders 5 base hits.

South Range will now play at Cene Park against Lowellville tomorrow. Reserve will host Columbiana on Wednesday at 5 pm.
