2 dogs die in New Castle fire

NEW CASTLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Monday night in New Castle, two dogs were trapped inside a burning house and died, according to CBS affiliate KDKA.

Crews were called about 8 PM Monday to a house at the corner of Court and South Ray Streets.

The building was a large home that had been divided into apartments.

The family of four that lived on the first floor was able to get out safely with their pets, but the couple on the second floor lost both of their dogs.

Officials at the scene said that there were no other injuries.
