Hermitage elderly couple found dead in apparent murder-suicide

HERMITAGE, Pa. (WKBN) – An apparent murder-suicide left two people dead Sunday in Hermitage, the city’s police chief confirmed to WKBN Monday.

Hermitage Police Chief Brian Blair told WKBN that a family member found George Gresko, 89, and Marie Gresko, 85, at a home on Applewood Lane and then called police.

A coroner’s office worker determined that both died of gunshot wounds Sunday morning, with Marie’s death determined to be a case of homicide, according to Blair.

That worker also noted that investigators found no note at the scene.
