Lisbon wins slugfest against rival Leetonia

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – In a high scoring affair, Lisbon got the better of Leetonia – 14-12. The game saw a combined 26 base hits and 17 walks.

Lisbon was led by Colin Sweeney who finished 4 for 4 with 5 runs scored. Avery Andric reached based four times (2-3, 2 BBs). Bailey McCullough and Kyle French both had 3 hits apiece.

Leetonia was paced by Joey Hall, Isaac Stecker, Connor Mellinger and Tanner Tullis who all had 2 hits. Drew Turney was 1 for 3 at the plate but had 3 stolen bases.

Noah Barnes picked up the win after finishing the contest for the final 3 2/3 innings as he struck out 5 batters.

These two teams will meet again tomorrow in Leetonia.
