Long dominant for Big Reds over Hubbard

West Middlesex's Andrew Long pitched a complete game Tuesday against Hubbard.

STRUTHERS, OH (WKBN)-Andrew Long pitched a complete game and held Hubbard to just 1 run as West Middlesex topped Hubbard 5-1 Tuesday at Cene Park.

Long had six strikeouts and silenced the bats of the Eagles offense who scored 16 runs over the weekend.

Hubbard had the chance to open the scoring in the first off a Zach Hover single, but Ryan Love was gunned down at home to keep the game scoreless.

In the 2nd inning the Big Reds got on the board first with Chase Staunch singling up-the-middle that allowed Josh Porterfield to score. Later that inning Long helped his own cause with the bat, hitting a single to right to score James Johnson before Staunch got thrown out at the plate.
