POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – As a way to celebrate a successful 2014 campaign, the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley held its annual meeting Tuesday evening at the Lake Club.
General Motors was the top honoree at the event for its donations. The company also donated $60,000 to kick off the 2015 campaign.
The campaign is a way to help people living in the Valley by enabling them to have a better life.
“We are here to celebrate the end of the campaign and the beginning of good things happening in the community,” Barbara Sykes of the United Way said.
WKBN-WYTV General Manager Dave Coy was named the new chairman for the 2015 campaign.
