YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police arrested a Youngstown man Monday, charging that he left a four-month-old child home alone and stole from a neighbor’s house, according to a police report.
Youngstown Police officers arrested Anthony Divencenzo, 32, charging him with attempted burglary, possessing drug abuse instruments and endangering children, according to Mahoning County Jail records.
According to the police report, a neighbor called police and said that a man was breaking into a house on Ferndale Ave. Police found Divencenzo walking away from the house and arrested him, saying in the police report that he matched the suspect description given by the caller. Police also reported noticing a cut on Divencenzo’s right wrist.
Police talked to another witness who said that he believed a baby was inside the house on Ferndale Ave. where Divencenzo and his girlfriend live, according to the report.
Police said they searched the home and found a four-month-old girl lying under a blanket before calling Divencenzo’s girlfriend and asking her to come home.
Police also reported finding a syringe in Divencenzo’s pocket.
