CLEVELAND (AP) – Police in Cleveland are urging people coming into town for two big events this weekend to allow plenty of time to get around downtown amid the heavy construction.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies on Saturday night and the Cleveland Cavaliers playoff game on Sunday afternoon will bring thousands of people downtown.

Police say lane restrictions and construction in the downtown area and around Public Square may make travel slow with the increased traffic.

They’re advising that visitors arrive downtown early, especially for Sunday’s Cavaliers’ playoff game that will feature a free FanFest outside Quicken Loans Arena. That event starts at 12:30 p.m., with the game at 3:30 p.m.
