Police seek hit-skip driver in Braceville crash

BRACEVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s help to locate the driver of a vehicle who they said struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The patrol said the crash occurred just after 5 p.m. on Hewitt Gifford Road in Braceville Township.

Aaron Walker, 24, of Warren was driving west on Hewitt Gifford Road and was stopped at the intersection of Kale Adams Road when his Chevy Cobalt was struck from behind, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Walker got out of his car to check for damage when he was struck by the other car, which then drove away.

The hit-skip vehicle is described as a newer model black Chevrolet passenger car with four occupants. The driver is described as an African American female in her mid-to-late 20s with straight black hair. There is damage to the front bumper, the patrol said.

Walker was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in Warren with minor injuries.
