Youngstown considers increasing license plate fee

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – It soon may cost more money to renew license plates in the city of Youngstown.

Ohio law allows cities and townships to charge a $10 fee for the renewals. Youngstown currently charges $5.

If the ordinance eventually passes, the city could generate an additional $350,000 a year. City leaders said that money would be used to upkeep road conditions.
