LEETONIA, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cherry Valley Beehive Coke Ovens Park is once again open to the public.
Leetonia Village council Wednesday night voted to re-open the park effective today.
It has been closed since the Ohio Department of Natural Resources began a drainage project there in September 2013.
Council briefly opened the park last summer, but closed it again due to safety concerns.
The coke ovens site now includes a split rail fence and signs warning visitors against misuse of the park.
It is open during daytime hours.
