Service marks sacrifices of fallen police

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police officers and their friends attended the annual fallen officers memorial service Friday, held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown.

It’s put on each year by the Youngstown Police and Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office Fraternal Order of Police lodges.

The event started at 9 a.m. with a processional that began in the misdemeanor jail parking lot. Services were held at 10 and ended with Taps being played by the Cleveland Police Pipe and Drums.
