WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Trumbull County Sheriff Tom Altiere told WKBN today that their internal investigation surrounding what he called “a racially motivated” facebook post by a deputy is complete.

It was almost three weeks ago that Altiere was told about the post made by deputy Mike Greer, who worked security at the Trumbull County Job and Family Services building.

Major Stewart led the investigation and recommended a 30-day suspension instead of complete termination.

Altiere says now that union attorneys are involved, the process has been prolonged.
