Chief resigns Salineville Police Department

SALINEVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – The Village of Salineville is looking for a new police chief.

After just 19 months, Chief Andy Straley officially resigned Sunday.

Straley is the fifth chief to leave in the last three years under current Mayor Mary Smith.

According to the Morning Journal, village officials read his resignation letter last night, citing finances and referring to trouble with the mayor.
