SYLVANIA, Ohio (AP) – Authorities say a 31-year-old woman died after a house fire in northwest Ohio.
Firefighters responding to the blaze around 10 a.m. Tuesday found the woman on the second floor of the home in Sylvania, a suburb northwest of Toledo.
She was taken to a hospital, where she died. An autopsy was planned Wednesday.
Sylvania Township Fire Chief Jeffrey Kowalski tells The Blade newspaper that the cause of the fire wasn’t immediately clear. He says the home’s location at the end of a cul-de-sac made the situation more challenging for firefighters who had to connect a long hose to a hydrant at the opposite end of the road.
