Liberty, Ohio teen shot, home from hospital

LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) – A boy who was shot in the foot Saturday afternoon is home from the hospital.

Youngstown Police said the 12-year-old boy was playing video games with friends in the basement of a home on East Montrose when another boy found a loaded 40-caliber Glock on a shelf.

According to police, the gun went off and shot the unnamed 12-year-old boy. Police said the four boys, who were home alone, called 9-1-1.

The police said the boys are aged 11, 12, 12, and 14.

Youngstown Police Captain Toby Meloro said charges may be filed once the investigation is complete.
