Boardman FD working to repair station

boardman ohio fire department repairs

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Boardman Fire Department is working to repair a station a fire truck damaged in March.

Fire Chief Mark Pitzer said a door to the truck wasn’t shut completely and caused the damage to the building as it was pulling away to respond to an emergency.

The department is spending $53,000 in repairs, and the station still operated during construction.

Trucks have had to enter and exit from the back of the building while the repairs are going on.
