Lawrence Co. racino plan still alive

MAHONING TWP., Pa. (WKBN) – The quest to bring a racino to Lawrence County is still alive.

New partners in the venture met a June 1 deadline that was required by the State Gaming Control Board.

Philadelphia investor Joseph Procacci and Merit Management submitted the required documents for a background investigation by state regulators, along with a $50 million application fee for the casino license.

That license is the last one available in Pennsylvania.

Procacci and Merit Management are the new partners with Endeka Entertainment on the project.
