Pet center hosts fundraiser for animals in need

Group works to help animals in need.

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) — Helping local animal rescues.

That was the goal behind Sunday’s event at the The Learning Dog Training and Enrichment Center in Hubbard.

This is the fifth straight year for their annual open house.

Organizers had a chinese auction and food sales.

The event goes towards hosting 15 rescues.

“Its hugely important because it brings awareness to the community of how many homeless animals there are,” said Jenny Falvey, The Learning Dog and Enrichment Center co-owner.

“None of these rescues are funded by the government so they have to rely on public donations, so we try and do this every year to raise a good amount of money for them,”

The Learning Dog and Enrichment Center offers a large variety of classes to help owners and their pets.
