Boardman 911 system down

911 system

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Boardman dispatcher advised WKBN Tuesday morning that their 911 emergency system is temporarily down due to a power outage.

Dispatcher Christy Anderson said callers with emergencies can call 330-726-4144 and need to state their location since their tracking system is not working.

Anderson said the department has about five phone lines on which to answer calls.

AT&T and Ohio Edison are en route to the 911 center to address the problem. Anderson did not know a time frame for the restoration of the system.
