Merle Haggard postpones Packard show

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Merle Haggard concert scheduled for Thursday at Packard Music Hall has been postponed, according to the venue’s marketing director, Kelsey Rupert.

Rupert said the new concert date is Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. and tickets for Thursday’s show will be honored at the Sept. 10 concert. She said full refunds also will be available at the point of purchase for those who are unable to attend on the new date.

Haggard is postponing the next two shows of his current tour based on doctors’ advice that he remain on rest after outpatient surgery.

According to Haggard’s website, he is scheduled to play Friday at the Big Barrel Country Music Festival at the Woodlands at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Del. as well as the NYCB Theater in Westbury, N.Y. He also is scheduled to play Saturday at the Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City.
