YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – According to First Energy, over 12,000 people were without power in Mahoning County at the height of Tuesday’s storm.

By 4 p.m., 2,000 customers still were without power, mostly in Austintown and Youngstown. First Energy said it expects to have all power restored by 6 p.m.

The company’s interactive outage map shows that most of the outages are in the Austintown and Youngstown areas, with a few other outages scattered throughout the county. The map states that most outages should be restored by 5 p.m.

A handful of houses experienced outages in Columbiana County, while nearly 200 are without power in Trumbull County.

Heavy rains have brought flooding as well. The above photo is of Western Reserve Rd. at Sharrott Rd on the Boardman-Beaver Township line.
