…Mahoning Valley has lost four straight since beginning the season with a 3-2 mark…Yesterday, Nathan Winfrey (3B/28th round draft pick in 2014 from Maple Woods Community College) finished with his first two hits of the season after starting the year with a 0-11 streak at the plate…Scrapper second baseman Mark Mathias began the campaign with 6 runs scored (3 hits) in his first three games. Since then, he’s seen his average drop to .107 after failing to register a base hit (or run scored) in his last four games (14 at bats)…Mahoning Valley ranks 13th in the NYPL in batting average (.216) and 7th in earned run average (3.96)…On Sunday, outfielder David Armendariz was assigned to Niles from Lake County. This season, Armendariz has batted .220 (27-123) with 9 doubles and 7 RBIs for the Captains in 38 games. He spent 15 games with the Scrappers in 2014, batting .140 (7-50) with 16 strikeouts and 0 bases on balls.
