Youngstown fire destroys camper, vacant home

Delason Avenue fire in Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown firefighters were kept busy Monday evening battling a house fire on the city’s south side.

The call came in just after 7 p.m. for a camper on fire in the 500 block of West Delason Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they found the camper fire had spread to an abandoned home that it had been parked next to.

Firefighters have no idea how it started. Witnesses said they think it may have been started by some kids playing nearby.
