Auto dealers come together to help the Rich Center for Autism

The Easter Ohio Automobile Dealership Group presented a check to the Rich Center for Autism.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Rich Center for Autism accepted a donation from the Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio.

The group donated nearly $33,000 to the center during a check presentation Tuesday at Bob & Chuck Eddy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Austintown.

This is the seventh year the association raised money for the center.

We provide services to our children free of charge to the families, which is really a tremendous savings for our families,” said Melanie Cafaro, executive director, Rich Center for Autism. “We are able to provide even more hours or more intensive therapies, such as speech and language pathology and occupational therapy.”

The association’s gala has raised more than $650,000 over 17 years to give back to the community.

Board president Chuck Eddy says the community always comes together to find a way to help.
