SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – Police are securing a warrant for the arrest of a Sharon woman who they say placed her infant between herself and police to get away.
Officers were called about 6:30 p.m. Sunday to the 300 block of Alderman Avenue for a disturbance and found Tala Marie Wimberly, 21, yelling and holding an infant.
Police learned that Wimberly had used pepper spray on an adult male and had kicked over a hot charcoal grill in the front yard, threatening to burn the house down.
According to Sharon police, officers attempted to get Wimberly to stop yelling and advised her that she was under arrest. She refused to comply.
Wimberly pulled away from officers and placed the infant between herself and the officers, according to police.
Due to concern for the infant , officers allowed Wimberly to walk away.
Charges of simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct were filed.
