2 teens injured in ATV crash near Lisbon

WEST POINT – Two teenagers were flown by helicopter to an area hospital after sustaining injuries in an ATV accident near Lisbon early Thursday afternoon.

Transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman with unknown injuries were Zach Puchajda and Kelsey Fisher, both 14. According to the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred off state Route 45, just north of Applegate Road, at 1 p.m.

The report stated the youths were injured while riding an ATV. Puchajda lives at 12018 Route 45, where the accident occurred, while Fisher is from Stow.

They were taken by ambulance to the former West Point Elementary School, where a landing zone for the helicopters had been set up by the West Point Fire Department, according to our print partner, the Lisbon Morning Journal.
