Airplane diverted to Columbus after passenger allegedly makes threatening remarks

A plane was diverted and landed in Columbus, Ohio after a passenger allegedly made threatening remarks.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A plane was diverted to Port Columbus airport Thursday after an alleged unruly passenger made threatening remarks according to an airport spokesperson.

According to the spokesperson, the plane was isolated after landing and police were called to the scene.

A female passenger was detained and the rest of the passengers were evacuated from the plane and later taken to a safe location.

The flight, United 3342, was headed to Washington D.C. from St. Louis.

Law enforcement officials brought K9s to the scene to help investigate.

All runways have been reopened.
