Facebook changes logo

Facebook has changed its logo.

(CNN) – Facebook has updated its logo, but you might not notice at first.

It’s still the recognizable all-lowercase white and blue lettering, but the ten-year-old logo gets a facelift with a brand-new typeface.

The thinner letters have a little more breathing room. The most noticeable difference is probably the style of the letter ‘a.’ In fact, many users won’t even see the new logo, because the main logo only appears in a few places such as the main login page, signs around the company’s campus, and on Mark Zuckerberg’s business card.

The square ‘f’ logo and the app icon will stay the same.

It’s specifically designed to be easier to see on mobile phones, an increasingly important area of growth for Facebook.
