HUBBARD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – Hubbard Township police are looking for suspects in a series of car break-ins.
At least two vehicles parked in the area of Beechwood Drive were damaged after someone smashed the windows on the cars, stealing a purse and other contents.
Detective Sergeant Mike Begeot said the break-ins happened between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The city of Hubbard had a series of car break-ins in June near the same area. A suspect was arrested in those break-ins, but has since been released.
Begeot warns residents to take all valuables out of their vehicles and not rely solely on car alarms. He says alarms will not signal if the window is broken and a thief reaches inside. The car door must be open to signal some alarms, unless the system is wired to the window.
Anyone with information on the break-ins can call Hubbard Township Police at (330) 675-2730 or (330) 534-8477.
