WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The National Packard Museum is revving with excitement because it has a lot to celebrate this weekend.
It is hosting a birthday party to celebrate 125 years of Packard Electric and 100 years of Packard Park. The museum is open until 10 p.m. Thursday as part of Light Up Night. Festivities will continue through Sunday.
This is the 26th year for the Packard Legacy Weekend. There is a special exhibit inside the museum illustrating the historic opening of Packard Park.
The W.D. Packard Concert Band performs at 8 p.m. Saturday on the south lawn and fireworks will be set off at dusk.
On Sunday, the annual gathering of Packard and all makes cruise-in on the south lawn of Packard Music Hall will be hosted by the Mahoning Valley Olde Car Club and will feature the Packard Dixieland Band.
The cruise-in will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and there will be a $5 registration fee that will include one admission pass to the museum. There is no pre-registration.
