Pennsylvania AG Kane’s twin sister sued by ex-boyfriend over $200,000 loan

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – The twin sister of Pennsylvania state Attorney General Kathleen Kane is being sued over a $200,000 loan by an FBI agent who was her boyfriend.

Ellen Granahan has been sued in Lackawanna County Court by Jacob Wentland III, of Dunmore.

Granahan works for her sister in the attorney general’s office as chief deputy attorney general of the child predator section.

Wentland says in his lawsuit he loaned her the money so she could buy a new home in Clarks Summit while trying to sell two other homes. The lawsuit says he moved out for good in March 2014 after their relationship soured and she hasn’t repaid the loan.

Telephone messages seeking comment from their lawyers haven’t been returned.

Kane’s spokesman said Thursday he couldn’t comment about employees’ personal lives.
