Volunteers put out flags for 4th of July

Volunteers put flags in yards in Hubbard, Ohio

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Local volunteers are coming together to distribute American flags across the Valley.

This marks the seventh year for the event. They will put out thousands of American flags in peoples’ front yards.

The volunteers will be in areas like Canfield, Youngstown and Hubbard. Organizers said they do this to remind people what the Fourth of July is all about.

“Many times, we are all completely finished and we have to go out and do some more because people want those flags in their yards,” Realtor John Burgan said.

On Thursday, another 500 flags will be scattered throughout the city of Hubbard.
