Ward Beecher Hall evacuated because of smoke

Fire Evacuation at Ward Beecher, YSU

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Ward Beecher Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University was evacuated Thursday after smoke from work being done on the roof leaked into the building.

Students and staff were told to leave the building around 11 a.m.

The fire department checked the building and cleared it for everyone to return at about 11:45 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
