Police: 2 children in critical condition after home shooting

CLEVELAND (AP) – Cleveland police are investigating a morning shooting that left two children in critical condition.

Police say the shooting occurred around 8 a.m. Saturday in a house on Cleveland’s west side. Police spokesman Ali Pillow tells reporters a 9-year-old girl and her 2-year-old brother were each shot in the torso. They were taken to a hospital in a private vehicle and were listed in critical condition.

Pillow says police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but it appears the shots came from within the house.

Three other children and four adults were in the home at the time of the shooting. Pillow says one man was arrested on unrelated warrants.
