Warren man held on $1 million bond in child rape case

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man who admitted to police in May that he raped a young female relative was arraigned Monday morning in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Jesse Young, 39, pleaded not guilty to three counts of felony rape. His pretrial is scheduled for July 13, with a trial start date of July 27.

Police said Young walked into the Warren Police Department on May 2 and admitted he inappropriately touched the girl between 2008 and 2013. After detectives interviewed him, Young admitted to more inappropriate behavior.

He is being held in the Trumbull County Jail on a $1 million bond.
