Warrant issued for Weathersfield theft suspect

Brian Fetty, arrest warrant copper theft

WEATHERSFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Weathersfield Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Brian Fetty, Jr., of Girard, in connection to a hardware store robbery on July 1, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

Fetty is wanted on a charge of theft. He is accused of stealing copper pipe from Handyman Hardware in McKinley Heights.

Police said surveillance video shows Fetty entering the Hardware Store Wednesday, July 1, around 10 a.m. Police said he took about 125 feet of copper pipe, hiding it in a book bag under his clothes, then drove away in a dark-colored Chevy Cavalier.
