CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning County OVI Task Force will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Austintown this weekend, according to a press release sent Friday.
The checkpoint will be at 4477 Mahoning Avenue in Austintown, and will run until 3 a.m. Saturday morning.
There will also be local saturation patrols throughout Mahoning County during the weekend.
The primary goal of the Mahoning County OVI Task Force continues to be making the roadways in Mahoning County safer, the release states.
Support in operating the upcoming sobriety checkpoint and saturation patrols will be provided by participating agencies of the Mahoning County OVI Task Force, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency
