NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – A Niles man was arrested late Thursday night after leading police on a chase.
Howland police received a call about 9 p.m. for a stolen SUV traveling down Route 46. An officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver didn’t stop.
Howland and Niles police began a pursuit of the vehicle. At one point, the vehicle stopped and the driver got out and a foot chase ensued.
Police caught up with the driver, Jeffrey Foster 26, of Niles, and he was arrested at the scene.
Foster was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, failure to comply, driving under suspension and improper prohibited turn. He is being held in the Trumbull County Jail on an $8,000 bond. He also had a warrant out of Central District Court for obstructing official business and a warrant out of Niles Municipal Court for domestic violence.
