Boardman PD investigating robbery outside Southern Park Mall

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Boardman Police are looking for two suspects who they say robbed two mall employees Saturday night outside the Southern Park Mall.

According to a police report, the two victims said that they were leaving the mall around 9:30 p.m. when two men came up from behind them and grabbed them, taking a bag with about $3500 in it. The victims said that one of the men pointed a gun at them.

A third witness said that the two men got into a car driven by someone else and sped away.

One of the victims said that several weeks prior, he and another employee exited the mall, saw two males who looked similar to those who robbed them Saturday, then retreated inside and called mall security.

The victims described the men as being two black males over six feet tall with thin builds, wearing mostly-black clothing.

Anyone with information on the incident can call Boardman Police at 330-726-4144.
