Trumbull County Fair officials prepare for soggy grounds

BAZETTA, Ohio (WKBN) – Fair organizers in Trumbull County are making plans just in case the grounds are too soggy to park on.

With the potential for more rain that would soak an already wet parking area, Fair Board Secretary Jan Solomon said they are making alternate plans when it comes to parking for fair-goers, just in case. Solomon said they have set up a shuttle service from Trumbull Career and Technical Center to the fairgrounds.

Signs will be in that parking lot, directing people where to go.

“So just to be on the safe side, we already scheduled them to do it and each day, we look at the grounds and look at the weather and make our decision daily,” Solomon said.

The 169th annual Trumbull County Fair kicks off Tuesday and runs through Sunday.
