NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Cleveland Indians’ pitchers Josh Tomlin and Nick Hagadone will pitch on rehab assignments with the Mahoning Valley Scrappers on Wednesday night against Auburn.

Tomlin will make the start, as he continues working his way back from shoulder surgery that he underwent prior to the start of the regular season. The rehab appearance will be Tomlin’s third, having previously pitched for the AZL Indians and Double-A Akron Rubber Ducks earlier this month.  Tomlin pitched for the Scrappers during the 2006 season.

Hagadone will work out of the bullpen on Wednesday.  He was placed on the 15-day disabled list last week with a lower back strain.  This season with the Indians, the lefty is 0-1 with a 4.28 ERA in 36 appearances.

Wednesday night’s first pitch is set for 7:05 at Eastwood Field.
