BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police charged a Youngstown man with robbery early Thursday morning, saying he took about $30 and pointed a gun at two people in Boardman, according to a police report.
Boardman Police charged Trey Chatman, 21, with aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence, according to jail records.
The report states that two women and a man told police that Chatman, who the women said they knew through mutual friends, was at an apartment on Shields Rd. with them. A Boardman officer found Chatman on Market St. and held him at gunpoint until other officers came and handcuffed him, according to the street. Police also reported finding a gun on top of a building on Market St. which matched the description of the gun which the women said Chatman pulled out at the apartment.
Police transported Chatman to the Mahoning County Jail until his initial court appearance, which was scheduled for Thursday evening.
